About
A level physical education allows you to study the full range of sports sciences including physiology, psychology, biomechanics and sociology. You will learn the fundamentals of each discipline as well as the impact they can have on sports participation and performance.
What will I study
The specification content is divided into seven areas:
- Applied anatomy and physiology
- Skill acquisition
- Sport and society
- Exercise physiology
- Biomechanical movement
- Sport psychology
- Sport and society and the role of technology in physical activity and sport
How will I be assessed?
This subject is assessed by two examinations at the end of your course and by the submission of your coursework.
