Year 12's First Week!
Year 12 students had a fantastic start to life at post 16 last week with a wide range
of experiences, activities and social events to get them settled into life
at post 16 and year 12!
The doors were flung open in Post 16 yesterday to welcome our new Year 12 students. Looking impressively smart,
over 140 students gathered together for the first time to start their Post 16 studies. As well as greeting our
former Year 12 students, we also welcomed students from other schools, such as Acklam Grange, Outwood Acklam,
Trinity Catholic School, Unity City Academy and Conyers.
Our current Head Girl and Head Boy, along with members of the Student Union were on hand to help with any
questions (mostly directions!) and very soon, it was clear that Year 12 had settled into their new routine.
During the week oure new students were able to experience all the facilities post 16 has to offer, with
enjoying Baristas was part of the fun, and a trip to Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday afternoon, and a social event
with free ice cream on Friday afternoon was the icing on an already successful induction cake!
