STUDENT DESTINATIONS

Our students are well prepared for life beyond the Macmillan Academy.

We are very proud of the fact that this summer, 84% of leavers secured places the university of their choice, and 100% were either in education, in full-time employment or training.

You will be supported all the way through the UCAS application process and we will help ensure your personal statements really show what you have to offer. We also offer personalised advice to individuals applying for competitive courses such as medicine and have a Gifted and Talented co-ordinator who supports with Oxbridge applications and offers interview practice.

Experts from Teesside University regularly visit the academy to give presentations and pass on advice and information regarding student finance and applying to higher education.

In addition to this, you will be able to access University Open Days for those universities a bit farther afield.
