SEND
The Macmillan Academy SEND department is highly experienced. The department works primarily with High Needs students, those with an EHCP
and those with additional special educational needs and/or a disability.
The SEND team works closely alongside the Post 16 team and subject teachers who provide support for students at Key Stage 5.
The SEND team provide a wide range of support for students including:
- Extended transitions
- Additional support in specific subjects
- Targeted 1:1 and small group tutoring
- Academic mentoring
- Subject support
- A personalised curriculum
- Study skills support
