How To Apply

Each year we have places for new Year 12 students who largely come from Macmillan Academy and also other schools in Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland. We warmly welcome applications from students from other schools.

If you are applying from another school, you can do this in two ways - either online CLICK HERE or by filling out an application form that is in the Post 16 course guide, posting it to Mrs Turner at the academy. Interviews will take place either at your school or you will be invited in to the academy. If you attend Macmillan Academy already, the application process will be explained to you in your year group assembly.

Current Macmillan Students

If you are a Year 11 student currently at Macmillan Academy, you will receive information about the application process from members of staff in school. You will be invited to a Year 11 into 12 progression meeting to discuss your next steps.

Students Not Currently Studying at Macmillan

If you are a student applying from a different school, you can fill out an application form or you can apply online. Ask your Careers Adviser at school for a Post 16 prospectus and application form. Alternatively, contact Post 16 who will be delighted to send one out to you. Interviews will be carried out by a member of the Post 16 team, either at your school or here at the academy.
